9th January 2021 – Siblyback

Siblyback is our local Reservoir, its a 3 mile walk around and there’s a really nice Cafe (Olive & Co) near the parking area.

In my experience, much of the interesting bird sightings are to be found in the area at the far end of the lake – the opposite end of the lake from the dam.

I love going to see the Tufted Ducks and it’s a great spot for other species of ducks, such as Teal, Widgeon and Ring Necked Duck. There is a Bird Hide in this area, the woodland area around the hide can also be quite productive.  It can be quite busy when the weather is bright and sunny.
