A friend from Falmouth messaged this morning to let me know he’d seen an Osprey at Pendennis Castle – so I thought it worth the trip to see if I could see it – however I didn’t.
On the way back to Liskeard, I called into Devoran Quay to see what I could see, oddly as I walked out onto the Quay, I got a Tweet (or whatever such things are called these days) from Cornwall Osprey Sightings, saying an Osprey had been seen earlier – opposite the Quay. Well it wasn’t there – but 30 minutes later it appeared on a tree – and was the one with a Blue ring on it’s leg.
Impressively another one appeared shortly later – followed by a third. I’ve never seen that many in one place.
Apologies for the poor photos – they were a long way away and it was quite windy – maybe I shouldn’t of been hand holding a 800mm lens!
