It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, perfect for our daily wander on the Moor. Though we caught the distant calls of a couple of cuckoos, they remained elusive. Still, I managed to capture a variety of other birds through my lens. The Stonechats, ever the photogenic subjects, posed obligingly, while the Skylarks proved a little more elusive—but I still managed to snap a few shots. I also photographed Northern Wheatears and a charming robin.
