15th September 2025 – Colliford and SIblyback Lakes

As lost of unusual waders had been reported over the past week, I decided to head out for a drive around Colliford – Parking in all the free car parks and seeing what I could see, without being far from the car in case the heavens opened again. Lots of Gulls and a group of 30 or so Common Ringed Plovers which I watched for a while and then got my camera put and snapped a few pictures – they are very cute! On the way home I called into Siblyback – Thankfully I bumped into several visiting birders – one of whom pointed out the Grey Phalarope, which was a new Life Tick for my Birding List.
