Par Beach Duck pond, is always worth a visit, when in the area as it turns up some rarities now and again (Not today However!). We normally walk all the way around the pond, good for ducks and gulls and usually the odd Heron and Cormorants. After that, we head up to the dunes and walk along between the trees – it’s a good spot for small birds, Greenfinches, Goldfinches, Chiffchaffs, Stonechats – well worth a good look. The beach is good for gulls, but I’ve seen the usual range of sea birds including, Eider Ducks, Oystercatchers and Terns. We then wander up the little river that runs from the beach, up to the car park. There’s a nice coffee van in the Main Car park (and I noticed on this trip a pasty shop and an Ice Cream van!
